One map. Five clubs. Every day.
GroundHoppr is a daily football geography game. The idea fits in a sentence: see the club, find its stadium. The skill ceiling is knowing world football well enough to drop a pin within metres of a ground you've never visited.
How the daily works
Picks are generated deterministically from the date — there is no server deciding anything, which means the same challenge for everyone, forever reproducible, and no repeats from one day to the next. Difficulty rises round by round: household names first, proper groundhopper territory by the final.
Data & attribution
- Map geometry: Natural Earth — public domain.
- Club & stadium data: Wikidata (CC0), plus manual verification. Every stadium coordinate is checked at build time; anything unverifiable stays out of the pool.
- Crests: only assets with verified free licenses ship; every club otherwise shows an original generated badge.
- Font: Archivo, SIL Open Font License.
Club and league names are used descriptively. GroundHoppr is not affiliated with or endorsed by any club, league or federation.
Principles
- No accounts, no feeds, no coins. Play, share, come back tomorrow.
- Ads — if they ever arrive — never interrupt a round.
- Accuracy over volume: a club only enters the pool once its stadium is verified.
